This summer, Erik ten Hag has spent over £170 million on players including Mason Mount, goalkeeper Andre Onana, and defender Rasmus Hojlund. But he still has work to do; his team’s fortunate 1-0 win over Wolves last Monday night further highlights the need for additional signings.
While he would like to add to his roster, Ten Hag is forced to sell players due to the club’s existing FFP limitations. This week, though, the £30 million transfer of Harry Maguire to West Ham fell through.
This is bad news for United, as they were hoping to sign Amrabat after he excelled for Morocco at the World Cup in Qatar. Liverpool has shown interest in the 26-year-old after their attempts to sign Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia failed.

Now, though, Fiorentina manager Daniele Prade has placed doubt on the future of his most valuable asset. And this is despite the fact that Amrabat has admitted he would like to play for a better team elsewhere.

Prade stated, “The situation is clear,” via the club’s official YouTube account. We’d want to help him get into a top club, but if we don’t get any offers, he’ll stay with us. We don’t have anyone on the team who can compare to him.

United probably won’t get their man this summer unless they can ship some players out the door before the September 1st, 11:59 p.m. deadline. It’s possible they’ll miss out on other signings besides Amrabat.
Benjamin Pavard, a defender for Bayern Munich, apparently has also reached an individual agreement with the club. However, with Arsenal now competing for his signing, even that possible move is in uncertainty.

Mikel Arteta reportedly wants to sabоtage any transfer to Old Trafford. Since former Ajax defender Jurrien Timber suffered a serious knee ιnjury and may miss the whole of the 2023–34 season, the Spaniard has had to reevaluate his transfer strategy.
